How SMS billing works

One SMS is up to 160 characters. A longer message is split into 160-character pages and billed per page, so a 200-character message to 100 recipients costs 200 credits, not 100.

WHISPER shows the exact cost before you send — recipients × pages × GHS 0.04 — so there is never an unexpected charge. If a message fails to leave the platform, the credit is returned to your balance automatically.

Payment methods

Payments are processed in Ghana cedis through Paystack: MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, and Visa or Mastercard. Credits appear on your balance as soon as payment is confirmed.

Same price to every network

Some providers charge different rates per network. WHISPER does not — a message to MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo all cost GHS 0.04, so your campaign cost is simply your recipient count times the rate.
